Good News | Professor Chunxiang Qian 's Team from Southeast University Wins the Highest Award Again at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

Warm congratulations to Professor Chunxiang Qian's team from Southeast University for winning the highest honor at the recently concluded 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2026 (Online). Their project, "Self-Healing Concrete Technology Based on Mineralization of Carbonic Anhydrase Engineered Bacteria" was awarded the Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury.The award-winning team was led by Professor Chunxiang Qian, with the participation of Qiming You, Yilin Su,Tianwen Zheng, Qingbo Liu, Xiao Feng, and Xian Hu.

Founded in 1973, the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva is jointly supported by authoritative institutions including the Swiss Federal Government and the World Intellectual Property Organization. This latest achievement follows the team's success in 2025, when they won a Gold Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva for their project, "Technology and Equipment for Microbial Synergistic Steel Slag Carbon Sequestration in the Preparation of Supplementary Cementitious Materials". Winning another major international award once again demonstrates the originality, innovation, and leadership of Professor Chunxiang Qian's team from Southeast University in the field of microbial mineralization theory and technology for infrastructure materials.
